Archival Research
Do you need help finding source materials for new exhibits, papers, or reports? I love searching for relevant and useful information hidden away in boxes, online repositories, and archival collections. Whether you need someone to perform keyword searches and order materials, review and photograph documents, or perform a more in-depth analysis of sources, I would love to hear from you.
Image Research
Photograph collections are amazing resources, and combing through negatives and albums is one of my favourite types of research! I can help you find the best images to compliment exhibits or add to online collections, along with researching and writing captions and credits.
Secondary Source Research
Literature review is an important part of all historical inquiry, but it can be overwhelming. Searching, gathering, determining which sources are appropriate to use, reviewing, and annotating is a time-consuming but important step in any research project, no matter what the end result will be. I can work with you to create annotated bibliographies, conduct source searches, review and summarize relevant materials, and verify information on a variety of subjects.
Kristy provides excellent service in archival research. Her work is timely, she provides support for your research in working with the archivists at Library and Archives Canada and finally, the results are excellent.

The name “Avro Arrow” is recognizable to many Canadians, even though the aircraft never saw active duty. This sleek, delta-winged fighter jet was promoted as the defender of Canada against Soviet missiles, with the added bonus of being a Canadian project on the cutting-edge of technological development. It was not to be, however; the Canadian government cancelled the program in 1959 after just five Arrows had been fully built and test-flown.
